War of the Roses

Manchester United vs Leeds United!! FA CUP third round clash.

OMG!! The war of the roses! Old Trafford now awaits the League One leaders in the much talk-about match amongst both club supporters as it is without a doubt, one of the bitterest rivalries in English football.

Leeds haven't won at the Theatre of Dreams since 1981 (that's freaky long right?), but there may be a possibility that they would when they play against my team (the Red Devils team) in this Sunday's FA Cup clash...though of course, I must add, that the possibility would be pretttyyyy slim considering the fact that United (the "real" united = Manchester i mean) has got their defenders trio back, Carrick & Fletcher back at their original position and Rooney & Berbatov at their attacking best (almost).

When Leeds were in the Premier League, they found it hard to beat the Red Devils. Now that they are in League One (2 leagues below), can they create miracles and drill United (again, the "real" united = Manchester, I'm referring to) into devastating embarrassment? Tough luck I'd say!

We shall see this Sunday where I will be watching this match with a bunch of Leeds United Fan Club members in Singapore! I am still contemplating whether I should wear my United (should I mention which "real" united I am referring to again?) jersey. I hope my FIL is still proud of having his DIL (daughter-in-law) as his bitter rival sitting next to him this Sunday...

P/s - Dad, I'd still love you no matter what happens... :D

Anyway, Champions will still be Champions!! WAHAHAHAHA!

Christmas Parties

Merry Christmas Everybody!!

Christmas has always been special...love the songs, love the decor, love the spirit! Christians or non-Christians alike, everyone just loves Christmas!

Starting from 24th Dec (yesterday), I had Christmas lunch at the office (with beer and wine!!) followed by Christmas barbeque dinner at our friend's house (Felix's house) in Kelana Jaya. They played a friendly poker match and Tim won RM200++!! They were good...but Tim was better haha!

Then came midnight, Felix and the rest of the Sabahan friends, sang caroling in the house with Arthur the main man behind the guitar. Sabahan can really sing man! And I mean reallllly can sing! It was a fun evening!!

25th Dec... my relatives just left as I typed in here in my blog. We prepared Christmas lunch at home and everyone praised my salad!! My Scandinavian Salad was the most sought after dish apart from the Turkey :D (Hmmm...come to think of it, I haven't got a chance to cook for my FIL and MIL yet... maybe the next trip to Brunei :p But then again, my FIL is such a good cook in his Char kuey teow dish, I will never be able to compare to that haha! )

In the evening, whilst the men played their compulsory weekly mahjong game, the rest of us went up to Lookout Point Hill at Hulu Langat to check on the much-talk-about KL view. Is it nice if you ask me? Honestly...mmm....

Anyways, Happy Christmas and Singapore...here I come!! :D

Right Here Waiting - Morning of 13.12.09 Part 2

Wanna see how Tim serenaded me in front of room 2503 at The Empire?

In moments of frenziness, Tim still managed to cook up lyrics to the Richard Marx's song entitled: "Right Here Waiting"... Whether he passed the singing test or not, its left to my then Guardian-of-the-Door Adrian to decide if he should open the door for him...or not... :D

The Future...

5 days have passed since my reigning as one Mrs Ng. Few asked me, "how does it feel to be married?" I answered, "Pretty good!" It is good indeed because once you tie the knot, the relationship blossomed to another level where commitment and responsibilities becomes an important factor. The commitment & responsibility are not just for the 2 of us, we now too must show our love and care for both our parents by "making" a new inclusion to the family (like my mummy said, "do it fast, no need to wait already...") Get it?...nevermind. Go get married, & you'll know what I mean!

My FIL and MIL will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2 years time and last night, we were already having thoughts of doing it big for the both of them as my FIL planned to renew his marriage vows with my MIL. Sweet, as I thought to myself. After 3 decades, they still love each other like no others. My parents too already reached their 32 years of marriage and looking at the four of them (my in-laws and my parents), for them to stay on together for a few decades and continuing together, inspires me as marriage as sacred as it is, will work, will be rock solid if the 2 of us believe, understand, and support one another, love each other through good times and bad times through rain or snow...(yes, I still wish there's snow).

Having stayed here in Brunei for 11 days, I am begining to get comfortable and contemplating the idea of moving here. With my legal background, I have the option to extend my career as a lawyer in this country and Tim, with my FIL's heartfelt wish, could take over the family's business. However, all these are mere thoughts as Tim still has his own company to run in KL...

Whatever the future holds, we yet to know. However, what I do know is, the next busy schedule for us would be our new house, Andalucia in Pantai. Renovation should begin after CNY and we are absolutely delighted about it!

1 more hour to go before we head back to the airport. Till then, see you all back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

Now & Forever

Sealed with a Kiss (Morning of 13.12.09) - Part 1

Pictures speak a thousand words...

Allow me to sketch it out here through photographs from the morning of 13.12.09 where the alarm buzzed off at approximately 5.00am for makeup session to me closing my eyes (either from lethargicness or drunkeness) at 2.00am the next day...

Food of torture: The sweet, the sour, the bitter, and the SPICY

The weapons

Me sitting at the end of the bed waiting for my man

Still waiting for the clock to strike 9am,
hence some cam-whoring moment with my maid of honour

Me and my new sista!

The lovely girls & I...
Amongst these 2 ji muis of mine, who do u think is older? The blue? or the pink?
Can't tell right? Cuz they are soooo sweet & innocent!

Oh yeah! Tim is an ardent fan of Leeds United
and he absolute can't stand me loving Man United
So, I had to 'convert' him

They are here!!!

My man & his 8 mafias...they don't know what they are up against!
8 mafias against 9 foxes!

Their first torture: Tim had a hard time swallowing what he hate most -
hotdog, mustard, mountain full of wasabis, cheese & bitter leaves!
Look at his mafias...especially the one on the right! LOL!

They were so happy to see my ji muis actually served them "drinks" to
make the swallow easier...only thing was, that drink was super extremely terribly SOUR!

Ok....my girls aint that bad... we saved the best for last
The boyz were like hungry wolves...chomping on the ice-cream
like as if they've never tasted ice-creams before...

All rigthtey...I was told that one of the boyz instructed the rest to blow as small as possible
as he claimed he knew what this trick was all about (yeah right!)

Small balloon eh? The smaller the balloon, the closer they are to the ass! LOL!
The boyz wanted to kill the one who gave them that stupid idea of blowing the balloon smaller!
(earlier, they were made to kiss each other on the cheeks too)
(p/s- after u kiss, u.. f**k)
Go figure out these compromising poses above lol!

Jeff, the best man, had a leaking balloon...he was shocked to find out
he had to "bang" Tim's backside with the balloon in between
As the game drags on, his balloon became smaller and smaller anddd smaller
till he actually literally looked like "banging" Tim's ass for real
Wicked! LOL!

The boyz had the balloons, Tim HAD to wear the Man Utd jersey
I was told he wanted to tear the jersey! LOL!

Tim had to sing infront of my room door (room 2503 - anyone wants to buy 4D?)
to his own version of "RIGHT HERE WAITING"
He had to come up with his own lyrics to beg me to open the door!
(Lorraine was holding up her Sony Ericsson phone to play the mp3 song to assist his singing)
This was pretty funny as in the moment of madness he could still rhyme his lyrics!
Did I mention before Tim actually sang to me on the first night of our very first telephone call back in 2008?

I was laughing so much I was almost in tears
Tim came into my room and lifted up my veil....
We then sealed with a kiss.....

Beauty & Decor

It's 11.02pm now and finally I get to rest and spill my memoirs in here for my fellow bloggers/readers.

Whilst in KL, many complimented my make-up artist Ms Swan on her expertise in painting my face. That sent anxiety to my already-anxious mind on what to expect on the make-up standard in Brunei. Will I look like an opera singer? Or worst like a dead fish? This afternoon, I finally get to test it out... To my greatest surprise, my make-up artist Ms Shereen was brilliant! That one is in the bag :) She did a great job in her coloring job and I was pretty satisfied. Hopefully her skills continue on the wedding day itself!

All right, apart from my beauty-rant, my aunt-in-law (A.I.L) and U.I.L (uncle) from Thailand arrived this evening. They brought us beautiful fresh orchids and since its specially flown from Bangkok, my M.I.L (mother) and I wasted no time in decorating the flowers for the house and our bridal room. We made a great team! Of course my MIL was the expert in flower decoration whilst I was just a 'by-the-way'. We certainly had loads of fun doing so. (The maid ended up cleaning the mess we left behind in the end)..

So far so good. Tomorrow we will have another busy schedule - all to be completed before 8pm as the whole troop from KL (including my mummy & papa) will be arriving in Brunei soil for their very first time.

Till then, goodnight!

Brunei - Malaysia - Brunei

Have you ever been in a country for 2 hours then out again? Is it really possible? (If you are in JB, of course that is a different story).

Well, today it happened just that. Amazing! We arrived at Brunei International Airport at 3pm (note: we were at KLIA since 7am!! MAS delayed its flight for bloody 6hours!). Despite the dreadfullness of hanging around at the airport doing practically nothing (we entertained ourselves by me sitting in a trolley and Tim pushing me around joyfully with cheerful airport employees laughing at our silly-ness) we arrived at Brunei with my M.I.L waiting for us with open arms. I'm home!!...only for 2 hours, that is.

Not long after when we got home, my F.I.L came back to pick us both up to go to Kuala Lurah, Malaysia about 45mins drive from Bandar Seri Begawan. With our passports stamped once again, we were out of Brunei and back to our home country again!

We spent close to 5 hours shopping for liquors and drinking (plus karaoke-ing) at a nearby shop with 9 other friends of my F.I.L (all hail from Brunei). It was like a mini excursion - with one purpose: LIQUOR! As 1 person can only purchase 2 bottles back to Brunei, with 12 of us in total, we bought 24!! Plus cartons of beers, we all looked like crazy alcoholics! With 12 passports to scan, 24 bottles + dozen of cartons to pack and 12 thirsty wolves to serve, the shopkeeper became an overnight profit-maker.

Its Monday today, 6 more days to go before the crazy wedding party begin (or rather, continue) AGAIN...

Addiction of Facebook & Twitter

How addictive are you in Facebooking or Twittering? There are some who treat Facebook & Twitter so seriously that they actually paused their wedding to change the Facebook relationship status!

Watch this! The Groom paused the wedding to make it 'official' on Facebook and Twitter before finalizing wedding with his wife. The video has been quite a hit on YouTube.com.

Coming Up Next: "Holiday Wedding"

Sitting here in one of the pubs at Jaya One with Tim and his boyz (Jeff, Gabz & Charlie) in my office attire drinking ... H20 (whatt??!). Oh yeah... I made a vow to myself not to have any beer (not a tiny sip) until 13th of December 2009. It's pretty amazing how one need to look after their weight, they are willing to forgo any types of temptation! Unlike Tim of course, he whacks noodles and beers whenever he sees `em! Hence, his Jacob Black's look-a-like body (opposite).

Today is my last day of work and I will resume work after 2 weeks from now. Holiday? Oh Yeah! Holiday Wedding I'd call it! This coming Monday we will be travelling to Brunei via MAS and I am hyperly excited about the coming plans for 13th December 2009.

Could there be another different type of wedding dinner march-in? Will there be surprises again for the guests just like how we did it in KL? Log on to find out! For sure, the other highlight on that day would be....how Tim and his boyz survive the tricks organized by my girls on the morning of 13th Dec at Empire Hotel & Country Club!

This is yet another exciting event for Tim & Cindy -NG!

Memoirs of 27th

We are now entering the 4th day. Time really flies. Everyday I wish I could turn back time to witness once again how it was on the night of the 27th. We all truly enjoyed ourselves.

Today, my wonderful photographer George gave me a link for a little sneak preview on what he has captured on the night of the 27th. His style is mostly candid, natural, highlighting the best moments (see http://timcindy.blogspot.com).

After the night of the 27th, we received numerous feedbacks, all of them were praises - on the FOOD (we had sharksfin, piglet, abalone & lobster but I didnt get to eat any of them!), on the DECOR (angelic theme, garden concept with fairy lightings & candle light stands along the red carpet), on the PERFORMANCES (the grand openning with an angel appearing on stage & masquerading down the aisle), on the MC (with his fantastic dual language capability - especially with his rap in mandarin) and most of all on the BAND (excellent song choice and performances).

Some asked if my cousin Adrian who sang on stage was a professional singer (he looked dashingly handsome that night, not to mention he has a great voice too)! Some even asked if Tracie was seeing anyone at the moment! (p/s - 'some' is an understatement. I have received loads of compliments on Tracie - I think I'll change my profession and be Tracie's manager for her fan club soon)

I can't believe it has already been 4 days since the wedding! If only there's "groundhog day" and I can live through the moment again and again...and again. Don't think I can ever get enough of it...yet. Hearing these feedbacks brought huge wide smile to my face as my 1 year preparation and imagination on how I want the wedding dinner in KL for Tim & I to be, finally became a reality.

Well, pushing aside the memoirs of 27th, it is time to concentrate on the next big one! 13th December 2009! A custom wedding in a foreign land! (for me that is). We will be holding an official wedding ceremony and on that day, I can label Brunei as my home sweet home from then on...

Pictures of the Night

Am still waiting for my photographer to send the pictures to me
but for blog purposes this would do for the time being.

Most memorable wedding night in KL.
Back to our hotel suite at 4am in the morning...to sleep...
